Is Callie Langohr too ambitious, too snobbish, for FVCC?

Updated. Langohr’s running for a seat on the board of trustees for Flathead Valley Community College, and also seeks a promotion from principal at Glacier High to the assistant superintendency of School District 5.

She’s one ambitious educator. She’s also, in my opinion, a snob — see my 2007 posts on proposals for “merit diplomas.”

And I’ve never been able to forget that she was vice-principal and the Kalispell junior high school (as it was then known) when students there walked out to protest what they thought was high-handedness on her part. Note. My memory failed me on this event. I apologize for posting the misinformation.

Maybe the statute of limitations on the walkout has expired, but it hasn’t on the snob diploma, and the ambition seems more intense than ever.

Her opponent on the FVCC ballot is Terry Kramer. I voted for him.
