Hillary worshipping Democrats move to give Bernie the bum’s rush

Politico reports that the Associated Press has “called” the Democratic nomination for Hillary Clinton despite her not having a majority of pledged delegates. The New York Times reports that President Barack Obama plans endorse Clinton this week. Political also reports that Obama called Sanders yesterday, apparently to deliver the bad news.

It’s time, the Democratic establishment apparently has decided, to shove Bernie Sanders into the ditch to spare Hillary Clinton the indignity of having to win the nomination fair and square at the Democratic convention in July.

Hillary would bring to the presidency:

  1. A willingness to start wars of choice, and a history of doing so.

  2. Abysmal judgment on health care, starting with her decision to chair her husband’s health care task force, and continuing with her philosophical opposition to a single-payer health care system.

  3. Unbounded love for Wall Street’s money, and no sense of shame for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars to deliver to Goldman Sachs speeches she’s determined to keep secret.

  4. So strong a belief that she’s entitled to special rules that she cannot begin to comprehend that using a private email system while she was Secretary of State not only was a mistake but was morally wrong.

  5. The practice of identity politics that could balkanize America into tribes based on gender and race, with different rights for different groups.

  6. Hillaryland, that collection of sycophants that’s old and dear to her, and notorious for it’s never ending ability to provide bad advice and unrestrained adulation.

  7. Little or nothing that would improve my life.

In three days, the Flathead County Democratic Party holds its convention to choose delegates to the state Democratic convention. The convention is open to all who she up and in good faith affirm they’re Democrats. I’ve been thinking of attending. But if Barack bullies Bernie into endorsing Hillary to prevent the chance that she might lose at the convention, there may be little reason to show Thursday evening. There’s no reason to board a ship when you can see it sinking as you stand on the pier.
